What kinda free mods can i do to my truck say to help out with fuel and air. I dont understand the pvc stuff can someone break that down in kindergarden terms for me. Cp3 mod is in the works am i missing anything??

What i did for the PCV Re-Route is use a 3/4 by 1/2" 90* copper fitting and 6' of 3/4" heater hose. I ran the hose by the frame rail and cut it off at an angle by the ABS in-between the doors.

mine was setup just like yours,but it would constantly drip a lil bit of oil...no matter how tight the hose clamp was

not many things in life are free and as for the PCV rerought i recomend this to anyone,next D-Max i buy it will be done as soon as i get off the lot

You can also get rid of your egr cooler and motor if you have a buddy that can weld, just remove all the egr mess, and where the egr motor connects to the intake, just weld covers over the holes. Install a 1/8" plate over where you have installed the egr blocker plate and put in a section of heater hose where the egr cooler was.......shouldnt cost you but $20.00 in parts for this one.

You can also open up your turbo inlet pipe as described in this thread and plug the pcv and resonator inlets

Kade since u only live about 20 mins from me i liked to catch up some time. Maybe pay u some money if u fill like doing another dirty if not i will be able to better understand it by talking to u and seeing it up close.
Larry i already done the fuel rail fitting. I will look more into the re route and the egr delete. Simon the egr is blocked its got the ppe blocker plate. Now all i got to do is the cp3 mod and a cheetah charger.

the lly and new routes the PCV (positive crankcase ventialation) back into the intake.. good for emission
bad thing is it can lead to a runaway condition on a diesel and the is VERY bad

say your crankcase floods with fuel. only opening is either gasket or the PCV.
if the PCV is routed like a gasser back into the intake were is the fuel going to go? back into the intake and the engine will burn it.
BTW when mine flooded i got fuel oil and coolant all under the truck..

PCV in a diesel is bad because it pumps oil into the intake, which is what can cause the runaway condition, aka you're pumping oil that will burn as fuel into the motor in an uncontrolled fashion.
Ditch the pcv and the issue goes away, as does coating your turbo, pipes, and IC with a layer of oil.
I re-routed mine because of the oil in the turbo, I had never heard of the runaway condition until today.
