When the trans blew on Pat's last pass, he asked if I could make my last pass in Spooky so we didn't have to wait for them to swap powerglides since all I needed was the 6th timeslip. I had already made all the full passes I needed. But, it didn't happen.

The track was beyond prepped so I think the 60 ft times would have been really good even with street tires.

One of my passes. After I learned I can't try to look out the side when backing up because I got out of the grove.

They had ZZ572ci GM Performance Parts crate engines in both the rails and Firebird, advertised HP = 720. Firebird weighed 2300lb, rails weighed 1800lb IIRC. While they had a carb fail, the engines themselves ran solid the whole time. The Firebird lost it's powerglide right after I lifted on that pass in the video.

I imagine you could spray those cars into the high 7's perhaps.

Kat would know. I think about 2G. But since we no longer have a 1/4mi dragstrip in the area that is open on a routine basis, it probably saved us money since we would have to go to 2-4 events to finish licensing both of us.

Plus it was kind of fun to hang out in Vegas and beat the crap outta somebody else's stuff for a change.

Yeah they sprayed the CRAP outta that track. :D Bet a 2wd truck would have went 1.9 or better on street tires.

Frank spent Friday morning discussing philosophy with us. That alone was worth the price of admission. Focus on why you won, not why you lost. How your race performance and life itself is tied into placebo effect. How to stay calm when under pressure. How your eyes work. Winning the lottery should not change your life if you are living right. People can't piss you off, that's just a personal choice you make. Why your unconscious mind is superior to your conscious mind in one critical aspect. Etc.

Looks good what is the cos of the school if you don't mind me asking?

It was $1995 since it was Vegas. If you fly to FL it would be $1795.

Vegas worked better for us since we could drive there and I get free rooms :thumb:

I would say about 1/2 the class had never made a 1/4 mile pass before.

I had a harder time learning to use the linelock and trans brake then I did driving. It was actually the easiest car I have driven down the track. Just had to break a couple of habits I had from driving our cars. Keep my foot off the brake when using the linelock and WOT when on the trans brake. My first 2 passes I was rolling into the throttle:eek:

This is awesome. I like this. Especially the lottery part (tied it to racing).

Sounds a hell of a lot easier then driving a fast truck. We have to start to build boost before we bump the first light and really be just right on the throttle and seriously hard on the brake or when they light you will blow through the brakes and red light. We will install a line lock so we can do a decent burnout.

Price doesn't sound too bad, cheaper then the Bunny Ranch for sure, but I wouldn't know about that, just something I read.
