Frame coating flaking off to bare metal

Ughh...

Most frames I've seen are goopy, mine is all dry and flaky. =(

Mine is kind of dry to I think it has to do with the climate some/ conditions the truck is driven in. You can buy the coating in a rattle can if you would rather stick with it over paint.

I don't have much on my truck either. I am just going to spray used engine oil under my truck.
My truck does this for me! Except instead of engine oil, it is power steering fluid. Works GREAT!

I fixed the leak 20k ago, and I've pressure washed the thing a couple times, but the oil just won't come off at all. Best rust inhibitor ever!

But seriously, don't intentionally spray oil on your truck. It is bad for the environment (in theory), but mostly, it makes your truck look like a beater and collects dirt.

I've used a product called "Honey Goo" and it leaves a nice dark looking wax. It's in a rattle can (need about 2 for the whole frame and suspension) and I wear a respirator or high for two days :eek:
