Yeah i went with a move bumper it is nice but i dont think its the best. You really need to have a decent amount of fabrication experience. took me three days cause i had a six month old chasing me around the shop in her walker and occupieing my cherry picker with her jumper.

I've seen quite a few for pretty cheap including the weld your own kits. Even with buying the kit and a welder you'd be in it cheaper than some.
I've got the welders I just don't have the time. Hell I've got a new turbo sitting waiting to go in for the last 9 months. And that's fun stuff.

I payed 1200 for the fab fours and they beat the shit out of it, which I hear is common so I got 300 back to get it re done.
Very true. I'm super thankful she was in the truck and not one of the cars. It could have been a WAAAY different outcome.
I'm also thankful I have a decent head in my shoulders and my hands like to build sh*t. That helps for sure and gave me a chance to get ALOT of upgrades
It has been trying for sure, but I'm super understanding and now she's scared of my truck. Just means I'll never be without it !

I sounded like a dick lol I am glad she was OK too. Last summer right after I bought my truck I was working near bend Oregon and drove in to get my tires rotated my wife and daughter were driving ahead of me in her little Mazda 3. Anyway I was following her she missed the turn we were on the main highway running through town hwy 20 I believe. Anyway she turns on a side road to flip around and I follow. She takes a left onto the hwy and I pull up to do the same. This guy across the hwy on the same street as me in a 2015 duramax decided to go across all lanes and Gets t boned in front of me it's 55 on that hwy they hit hard enough to slide into me and hit hard enough to move my truck a foot or two. Anyway if it was 30 second difference my wife and daughter would have got smoked. Sorry for the book figured I'd share.

Haha ya that's why I immediate was like man I'd be so upset....once I knew she was ok. Lol. Little cars stress me out were actually looking at buying another duramax. My wife can actually drive a truck.

My frame was a actually damaged in that wreck. The driver tow hook was bent up a couple inches, it was 13k something repair bill I had a choice of totaling it but didn't don't know if you read some of my other posts I looked for a clean untouched duramax for 2 or 3 months. That wreck was right after I did my lifted I had only owned it maybe a month.

Yeah we have a euro car addiction. I have a custom built VW Karmann Ghia, she has a SUPER rare VW golf and her daily driver is an older BMW wagon.
I bought the ol Dmax for a tow pig and daily for me.
My wife is actually surprisingly good at driving a truck and towing. It's the whole dont **** with a mans truck thing she is scared of and embarrassed about.

My frame got kinda f**ked too, but I just cut it apart and fixed it. It was only the bumper mount that got tweaked.

Haha hell ya. There's a big vw scene where I'm from too. A lot of guys I went to high school with have the same addiction. Diesel scene is a bit bigger. But ya there is not a lot hotter then a women who can flat out drive a truck.

They put mine on one of them frame straightening machines. I told the people if there was any motor trans issues or any other frame spots I would just total it. Wish I was good with wrenching like you seem to be.
