I like the FPO. Some of the high HP engines have started to flatten the bushing in the small end. Perhaps this extra lube will fix this issue. Time will tell.

I cant see it hurting

If it doesn't I'll just get rid of the bushing and go with a DLC pin.
;)

DLC? Direct lubricateing crank?

Thanks Tripp your like 10 steps ahead of me:D

Do you not think the main studs from ARP are enough Adam?

Block could be a issue,Since GM decided to build a stonger one in the lbz and newer:confused:

Is there alot of people wrecking the crank? I thought we where good?
Shows you what I know:D

your always one step ahead of me arent you:D

Im always one step BEHIND you brother. Your close to completing a build and I haven't even done things I said I would do 6 months ago. I blame it on work....I hate it.

I dont know if I would worry about the crank, there hasn't been many failures that I have heard of either so I think its alright.

Simon I think he is talking about a Diamond like carbon coating. These coatings reduce friction and have increased wear properties.

So Is this something we could get done? Do you need to make room for the coating?Tolerences? Got more info on this?

Sounds like it would be Expensive haveing a girls best friend in you motor:D

I think the thickness is usually in the microns. I never have messed with it personally, Guy would be the one to ask that question.

i have heard several talking about the crank walking... outside of a spun bearings. there is two reasons for it.
1. main caps/bolts studs flex - fix studs
2.) main webs in the blocks start flexing- fix gridel

iirc NG never had a gridle... could be wrong

R&R has a good rep from what I've heard. But I'm sticking with Crowers from SoCalDiesel because even when I tore the pistons in half at Bonneville, the rods didn't fail.

It's just one more thing I don't have to worry about.
