Plus a solid axle adds a few pounds too, 6.4 motor is heavier as well as trans/transfercase IIRC.

What do the stock rods look like? Cummins rods are stout as hell. 1200-1300hp is not uncommon on stock cummins rods. They are heavy but don"t look too massive.
Congrats to Aaron and the guys at Rudy's! They have got it going on now. When I went to the shop, they were finishing it up and put it on Dunbar's dyno and did 1200 on spray IIRC. On 12 valve rods yes, I dont think so on the CR rods
I know of a couple cr that lived over 1000 stock, which is a fair bit more than any stock dmax rod.
I know of cummins from all generations that are over 1k on stock rods. One cr just lost a stock rod at over 1300hp. I have a 12v in the garage. I tore a medium duty 24v down on sat that had rods that were way heavier than the 12v rods. It suck the dmax isn't like that. 1k capable cummins rods can be had for 1-200 verses the 2500+ for the dmax. It is good to see a fast ford. I was expecting more for all the talk that has been coming from the blue oval guys over the last few years. I still don't understand why there are virtually no high hp fuel only fords. The 7.3 in a couple trucks is all I can remember.
Congrats to Aaron!! I watched him dyno 1200 hp on Dunbars in March. He is a real stand up guy. Always was willing to stop whatever he was doing to help or shoot the shit. Even saved my girlfriend's dad's 6.0 that broke down making a cross country trip from NC to Idaho. I remember meeting him for the first time two years ago in a Holiday Inn parking lot during OBX race. His mechanic is downright impressive. More than once they have had the entire block stripped down then running by 8am next morning & melt all 8 pistons. I just wish he was in the duramax community instead.
So is this a tue compound turbo setup now? Or are they still using the "stock" sequential setup??
Also curious if they have made any fuel only passes? Wonder how much nitrous they are spraying, guess it don't matter either way it's damn impressive
