Im not into all this new technology but heres what I want to do with a phone. I have Verizon.

I would like a phone that helps with my business so would like to have this:

1) Make invoices and such with my template from Microsoft Excel

2) Would love to send those invoices to a wireless printer in truck and print

3) Accept credit cards somehow while at customers house

4) Need a keyboard since my fingers are 2 times bigger than the little ass buttons on the touchpad

Any ideas at all? Im thinking Droid based phone but not sure on the rest.

well if you were down with switching carriers i would suggest the Evo or Evo Shift the difference being the evo doesnt have a slide out keyboard but the evo shift does. There is apps for all the things that you want to do. If you want i could research and find what they are called. Thats just my .02

Alright in that case have you looked at the Droid Pro it has a small slide out keyboard but it also runs on the android O.S. so you can use all the same programs as the evo or any other smart phone besides the Icrap for that matter.

If my Blackberry storm would not have had so many glitches, it would have been an awesome business phone.

I would have like to have a keyboard having large hands myself, but I switched in the fall to a droid X because of the large screen. I couldn't have been happier so far. I regularly use it for word, PPT, and occasionally for excel. I think your pretty much relegated to formulas, but if your just modifying it, you should be fine.

Droid X is the best phone out right now. The Iphone verizon guys will bitch about that comment but compare the capabilities and the numbers dont lie. I'm not 100% but I believe that platform can support everything you are wanting to do. I have big hands/fingers too and the touch screen full keyboard works very well with a little practice.

Sounds like you need more of a PDA than a smartphone for what you are wanting to do. I worked for a place that had Palm handhelds that did everything you are wanting to do, but they had their own software engineer build the programs to do it all.

Well got the Droid x yesterday. Wow this is a learning curve as I thought an EnvIII was bad....lol. Am slowly getting the hang of it though. Pretty damn cool actually.

How do I get on here though? I know its something to do with Tapatalk but havent seen it and I cant log on here for whatever reason.

For your internet browsing download opera mini. It's faster and easier to use than the regular browser. Pandora radio is another cool app. Photobucket mobile makes uploading pics to forums super easy. Musicbox let's you download about any song u can think of for free. Get the eBay and paypal apps too. I have a extended life battery in my evo wich I highly recommend!
