Also, here in good ole Texas a state trooper has the authority if he is in a bad mood to inspect the vehicle for mods and if he sees the thing missing or changes to the exhaust system eliminating it he can write you a $10,000 fine on the spot and park your tuck!

Unless you live in Ontario or the lower mainland. They have emission's testing there.:(:jerkit:

Its also very easy to register outside of the lower mainland, its a pretty small area. Im from a small town 100km away(not on the island) and we have the worst polluting old heap piles you can imagine on the road.

Isnt the urea injected after the DPF??? If that is the case then it wont actually make any difference to how fast the DPF clogs. IMO the ideal setup would be urea without the DPF.

No it is injected pre-DPF and pre-DOC

As for deleting DPF but retaining Urea I wonder if it would work so well...
It seems to me that the SCR is needed for for urea to get proper results.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selective_catalytic_reduction

Are the DPF and SRC in the same housing? Even if they arnt wouldnt the SCR be just as restrictive as the DPF or DOC or a catalytic converter for that matter?

In my ideal world it would be a 4 or 5 inch straight pipe with urea injection.

I think the DPF & SCR are in the same housing :(. I don't think the SCR would be as restrictive because I don't think it would "fill up" like the DPF might...

I'm with you: I'd have no problem with the Urea if the POS DPF wasn't there.

FWIW, anything can be fooled. Some easier than others.

Even though the Urea is aimed squarely at the NOx emissions, it is reported to be good for the DPF. Jury is out.

I am seriously looking at at 2011. If nothing else, to see how they tic.

Well In your case Jon.....I retract my statement about not being able to fool the 2011 emissions system. :D

Very easily:

Urea has to do with the kidney function
Kidneys store and produce Urine
Urine flows out your pee-pee
Hence the similarities why we're discussing wangers.
