IIRC, the lawsuit involves a woman who moved in after the dragstrip was in operation. Big surprise, eh?

Fontana is a trucking hub. It has trains, planes, and big rigs are in constant operation 7 days in and around them. There is a NASCAR track there as well. Any idiot who bought a house in Fontana expecting it to be a quiet neighborhood needs to be sued themselves.

Fontana was the last 1/4 strip open to the public in SoCal, which is the birthplace of dragracing and the NHRA. It's shameful.

BUT... Seeing how the track operator knew there were noise abatement concerns, they should have actively kicked off cars that exceeded the noise level. Mufflers suck, but if you have a choice between racing with mufflers or not racing at all, I'd pick mufflers.

Welcome to millions of people living on top of each other. I would think we will see more and more restrictions on the things we do recreationally because they have an influence that some people do not view as positive. We have nowhere within 150 miles to go racing.

Just go get a ticket for street racing and sue the state back for not giving you a place to race legally...seems like today you can get away with suing anyone for anything.

I'm glad to hear that. It just makes me sick that there are people out there, who go out of their way to ruin the fun for other people. :(

My guess? They are going to limit/eliminate the open exhaust racing. The AutoX has always been sound restricted, and when they opened the dragstrip, it was muffler only at first.
