Question: Fog lights?????

I have an 01 Chevy LS option package, it came without the foglight option, but had all the wiring under the bumper to just plug em in, so I did. Bought new lights and scabbed a switch from a junkyard, just went to the dealer to have them reflash my BCM to enable them and still nothing, would GM put the whole harness in and not connect the in under the relay box???? After my BCM reflash my dash lights only work when I turn the interior lights on???? Not when my headlights are on though?????? Do I have a bad BCM?

Only one code when I checked B2613 it is a BCM code but is this causing my issue?

The bcm did not need flashed for this. Your truck my truck and others have the wire ran in them already. If you go to Gm to buy fog lights only they nail you hard. But if you buy a upgrade kit it comes with the lower valance the fog lights and the switch for inside and a fuse/ relay for under the hood fuse box for a lot less. Everything is plug and play no flash needed.

^^ Bingo, i got the kit for my lly and plugged everything in, threw the relay and switch in, and everything worked perfectly. :thumb:

My fogs still don't work, has a relay in the box, wiring harnesses are behind the bumper, could it be that GM never put the harness pins into my fuse box under the hood? I know when I did my 02 1500 a few years back it had nothing no harnesses, no relay no switch, and when I installed it all I still had to have the BCM re-flashed, it worked fine??? Only thing I can think is, either the switch I got for the dash is bad or the wiring isn't connected from the fuse block to the foglights? I jumped the relay out, I have 12v on the 12v pin and when I jump that to the correct terminal that needs to be energized I still have no lights??

Why do I even need/want foglights????? :banghead:

When I bought the kit for my 00 chevy it came with the switch, lights, and harness for $85 . Seems some have the harness while others don't No flash needed on mine either to work

I'd take it back to the person that flashed it and make em fix my dash lighting issue though regaurdless if the fogs work or not
