flush the powersteering/ brake booster

Anyone ever flushed there power steering/ brake hydro booster or whatever its called?
Also what fluids you guys run for power steering.
Looking at doin my 05 lly and my 06 lbz with a solid axle

Yes, searching will yield lots of results. Take off the return, run a length of hose to a container, pump brakes and turn wheel lock to lock until fluid runs clean.

Keep it simple, take a turkey baster and remove the fluid from the resevoir, refill, run for a bit, doing this several times and avoid the removal of any lines and less mess, do the brake fluid also...

Removing a line is super easy to do and get more junk out faster. I've never gotten dirty doing this. It's one clamp. Regardless of the method, this should be annual maintenance. Along with brake fluid. Especially if you tow.

I used Napa power steering fluid because it came in a gallon container.

Easy, till you suck the system dry when you don't turn the engine off fast enough, accidentally knock the recovery container over and the a few other mistakes can be made in the process. The cost of the additional hose, just suck the reservoir several times and be done with it...

Same outcome. I may try your method next time. But with a hand transfer pump.
