Hey guys i got a 2011 lml with 17k miles and want to keep it as rust free as i can. I heard fluid film is the way to go so i got a case of cans and i am ready to go.
Even though we havent had much if any snow here in connecticut, it is still cold out, and my garage doesnt have a drain, so i can coat it in there but cant wash it in there. How much prep do i need to do for fluid film to be affective?
i went to my local hand car wash that has jets that spray the underside, and then drove home, is that good enough?
i was thinking i would spray some 409 cleaner on the whole underside, and then fill a pump sprayer with hot water to wash it off, but if i dont have too, and i can just spray it i am just gonna spray it.
any input on how little prep work i can get away with would be great.
thanks.
