Fleece Ali Lock Up Box

So I purchase a Fleece Ali lock up box and information about use is hard to find. I assume you turn on the power switch and hold the button, build boost and roll into the lights, launch truck and as soon as leave the line depress the button and trans locks in when it shifts to second. Is this correct and if so how is this gonna help me in quarter mile time or 60ft? Any input would be appreciated!

What I did was have the button pressed that would lock the converter and leave the switch power button off. After I launched and hit 2nd gear I would flip the switch to activate it so it was locked and at the end of the track switch the power off.

That's what worked best for me.
