I didn't need a line wrench on my LBZ they ain't that tight.

Maybe some fancy hose clamp, and hose pliers? Those are always the biggest pain for me just using regular pliers.

IIRC JoshH posted a formed hose to use for the coolant on the EGR delete. That was better then bending/kinking a strighrt hose.

I have some snap on hose clamp pliers for the spring type. There us another set that is cable driven that looked like they would be handy.
Not sure who JoshH is but, I'll look for the thread about the formed hose.

Did you go with The leveling kit or actual 4" lift kit? Might want to track down a torsion wrench (clamp) if your doing it yourself.
I went with the leveling kit. I figured, I could use some of the pieces and get what I don't have when I can afford lift it the way I want. Not only was the full lift kit out of the budget but, so was a new set of wheels a tires. The 33's on my truck now would look goofy. I'd rather have the lift and a new wheel tire combo, though. Like my dad always told me, want in one hand and shit in the other, let me know which one fills up faster. Lol

Got all my parts in, got my truck in the shop right now for the last of the warranty work. I plugged the edge in and it was throwing some soft codes and trying to see if I can get them to replace the oil pump. Getting tired of that whirring noise. It was throwing a p20ee and P0856.

I've watched a few install videos about people needinh to remove the fan clutch and shroud when performing the cp3 conversion. Not sure if anyone has completed the job without the fan in the way, probably just going to pick up the Lisle fan clutch removal wrench set just in case. Don't want that to screw me when I finally get time to get it together.

When I remove all the egr and all that nonsense, do I need to clean anything up or pay special attention. I don't want any surprises.

Is there a probablilty I'll mess any gaskets up in changing all the parts? Only thing I can think of Is the downpipe gasket.

I can't wait to have this emissions garbage off my truck.

Just use a chisel to take the fan off.

Don't use this often and when I do I know the cost was well worth it and will adjust to easily work on lifted trucks...:thumb: Concerning the constant tension clamp removal tool I have one as does a friend of mine. Both made in China but his Astro brand (9409A) is far superior to the Lisle I have.

It's a great thing to have. You could just take the wheels off and put it on some wood if that will lower it enough for you.

Don't take this wrong, even a IA ladder at a 300lbs rating is bare minimum for you, hope you don't have any problems this weekend...:thumb:

Type II = 225 lbs.
Type I = 250 lbs.
Type IA = 300 lbs.
Type IAA = 375 lbs.

It's not so much the height that's the issue, just the capacity that may be a "hello engine" the with my chin. Lol check out the capacity. I'm still interested in it though. 56#, how the hell am I going to weigh my torso!

For what it's worth I did my cp3 conversion with fan on and I'm not sure what I did with shroud lol (been a while back) .

And I have one of them top side creepers and it holds me just fine and I'm only twenty pounds less than you badluk..

Getting the ladder ordered tonight. Got my buddy to go in halves with me since I only need it once or twice and he just bought a 12' dodge with an 8" lift and he can't even reach the dipstick with his short ass lol.

Any how, about to pick my truck up from the shop today in regards to the whirring noise I've been hearing. They told me it's my oil pump, which is what I told them I thought it was when I dropped it off. Service writer said there is a service bulletin for it but it also says do no repair as it doesn't affect performance or reliability. Not sure if I should press the matter and get it replaced or not. It's annoying.

Here's a link to aforementioned service bulletin.
