First pull fail

Went to a small local pull last night. Didn't make it far... broke a cv shaft on the passenger side. The truck started jumping around right away, I let off and gassed it again and same result ending with a bang. My front tires were looking at each other. I'm thinking its probably because I have different keys for my torsion bars even though the bolts are as low as they can go. Hoping to have a 4'' lift by next year so I can get rid of the keys and lower the bars.
Any other suggestions? I searched on here and tried to set the truck up according to the other suggestions as far as tire pressure and weight.

Tie rod sleeves, center link bracket, get rid of the leveling keys and drop the torsion bars all the way down.

I have sleeves....wouldnt have tried without them. My buddy did that last night though, tried to warn him! His truck left on a flatbed lol.

Im looking at either the tuff country or cognito. I already have cognito ucas... not that it matters but its kinda nice to match it up.

The Duramax that smoked everyone last night had a cognito. It was good he at least smoked all those dodge boys!

Friend of mine had the same issue. He took out his lift keys and took out the cognito control arms and its smooth as glass now. Food for thought.

Well it is my dd so what is the best route for me? I want my truck to sit up at least as high as it is now. Should a lift kit without keys and lowered down as low as it can go work? I'm not looking to pull a lot but just once or twice a year at this point. Thanks for the replies.

Cheapest simplist option is the straight centerlink. You loose alittle bit of steering though. I have it, its not horrible but don't expect to take a full lock turn without wearing out your tires fast. There is a more expensive option that you wont loose any steering and it will hold up to drag racing and sled pulling, not sure what its called. I think its exxact or something like that.

I havnt pulled with mine yet, soon tho but on road and launches its working flawlessly. I have friends that took off cognito braces and put on the all seasons. Not bashing anyone, just what i personally know of.

Ive seen trucks with sleeves and straight centerlink still bend if the CV's are not level.
There is a guy here with a LMM running 12.60's that has everything stock up front, including tie rods, but has drop keys, so his CV's are less than level, and havent had one issue in 4wd. Granted, I wouldnt do it, but it seems to work..
