So this is just a rant sorry...:hello::hello::hello:

Monday morning im headed to work and get a phone call to go home, pack and be at the new office in Louisiana that afternoon. So i pack and head to the office to pick up my fuel card and perdiem when the boss says "we need to talk".:confused::confused::confused:

When i filled out my application it asked if i had been convicted of anything. I havent but i was arrested for DWI on New Years and that came back on my FBI background repot. :spank::spank:

Long story short. Homeland Security controls what we do cuz we work with radiation. It was viewed by them i was untrustworthy and lied on my Application so my boss had to let me go. But did say he will rehire me if i come apply again after 90 days...

So now im back home moved back into the house and unemployed:(:(:(

You say the app asked if you were convicted and you say you were arrested....were you found guilty? if it was not guilty or the charges were dropped completely then you were not convicted....if it was plead down to a lesser crime then it may be viewed as convicted. I know it works that way with gun laws. Anyhow sorry to hear the bad news.

^^

X2, convicted and charged are two different things....

guess now you can collect unemployment, and take a vacation since you have 3 months off and he says he will re-hire you....

i still have not gone to court for it. So no conviction or anything yet. Think its someones first day at homeland security just trying to be a hard a**. The boss and i both agreed the app should have asked if i had been "charged" but they say i was withholding information... lesson learned i guess

Yeah, I'd consult a lawyer on that one... If you where Arrested but have not been convicted, then you didn't lie or withold info on your app (provided they only asked if you where convicted, not if you where arrested and/or charged) when you said you have not been convicted. If you re-applied in 90 days, and said yes to the same question but have not yet been convicted, then TECHNICALLY you'd be lying. Typical buracratic BS . Good luck getting it all straightened out.

I thought after reading the title it was going to say "for stealing boxes"!!

But seriously that is a giant cup of suck and I hope you get it all sorted out and get back working.

I know we do work at prisons where I work and they do FBI checks to be able to work inside them and if you've been arrested and are awaitng trial they will not let you work inside them. I know its not the same thing, but it might explain a few things.

I've got one guy that got arrested in December for DWI and hasn't gone to court yet and he can't work on that job.

Hope that helps, I just don't think a lawyer can do anything about it.

He said if i would have told them about it before the check then it would be no big deal. Thats why after 90 days i can go apply again and since he knows now he can vouch for me as trustworthy.

But when they called and he said he had no idea then his hands were tied right then.
