Finally...IT IS COMPLETE!

The shop is finally done! 36'X32' with 14' eaves, 10' x 10' door & 12' x 12' door. I have been watching this go up all summer and it is finally done with the all the interior gingerbread, epoxy floor paint, trim, internet, phone, etc.

The lift is a 10K symmetrical, wide, BendPak, 7.5HP compressor on the shelf, full water/in-floor heat...no potty...something about the great outdoors....

There is also a motorcycle/wheeler/sled lift too :thumb: Something about laying on my back on the concrete to work on a bike or sled . The M/C lift came up for essentially cost after I paid the freight on the BendPak. NO FREE SHIPPING TO AK FOR THAT KIND OF STUFF!

Great looking shop great place to work on the truck and to keep it warm too on them cold winter days I have been to alaska before lol looks like a good place for a ol momma bear to take over

Mama bear has the old garage that was too small to even get the truck into. If I would have taken out the bikes and the sled. There was a time when the toys were worth more than her car, and the toys were easier to steal...the car went outside and never got back in. She will be happy to be out of the snow again.

When I did the turbo on my truck I had to kick my 80 y/o father-in-law out of his garage for the whole time, and put my truck in sideways to get the door closed....and that was only being able to walk around the front. The back end was jammed against the door.

It will be nice to have a place to work on the truck. Before I went to the track to tear it up, I wanted to have a place to fix the potential carnage. :angel:

That should not be too much of a problem, the paint is an industrial epoxy used to coat the inside of petroleum tanks...among other things...

I wanted a oil resistant coating.....and I do not like the rainbow sprinkles that come in the DIYS kits from Lowe's.

The paint is Devoe Bar-Rust 236, it is a good two part epoxy paint, and resistant to most oils and stuff. It has a hard time with acetone, lacquer thinner, MEK, and stuff like that. BE CAREFUL, it requires a respirator with good cartridges even if you are doing brush/roller application.

On Edit: I also used the lightest non-white color that is available. It has to be mixed (not a stock color) but is called: Mist Gray on the Devoe color chart. I was looking for a light gray, and it may be too light...white does not work, but I wanted the most light reflectance that I could get. I hate working in a dark shop, and the concrete over time just sucks up the light.

On another note: I want to thank all the folks who answered questions on lifts back in January.

The shop and the equipment has been a long process for me, and this board has been a great help in selecting equipment that I wanted, but have not used or was familiar with initially.

FWIW, the shim kit that comes with the BendPak Lifts is CR_P! They were essentially zinc plated washers (thin and not many of them) with a slot so they could be slid around the anchor bolts.

I ended up getting some SS shims from Grainger to complete the installation. I feel a LOT better using the SS shims that I KNOW will not corrode over time and get the posts out of column. It may have been my floor was a little wacked out by the screeding, or that the base plates were drawn during the welding process, but either way, I needed more shims than were provided by BendPak.
