the new body styles are a beatch to find a power connection, only spot is the fuse block down on the floor, so i'm not sure where to tap into on the NBS??

LMM/LML main power is from the floor. LMM/LML have a dimmer fuse in the dash fuse box, so it's easy to dim gauges.

when I tie into that dim fuse, the gauges are on all the time, and do not dim with the headlights coming on, so i'm not sure what you mean? can you elaborate some more?

I run cobalts and love them. I have the dimmer switch from autometer and love that as well. I wouldn't like them to dim with the factory gauges.

I might be selling my double pod soon for a triple to put Bens dsp5 switch in.

well i was finally able to get to the back of the headlight switch panel since none of the fuses in the upper panel are switched or actually control the dimmer, it's all fed through the bcm I assume.

The 4x4 connector is easy to get to and low and behold has a brown wire with a white stripe going to it, so after checking voltage on it, it is indeed switched so I ran the 12+ aux wires from the gauges to it.

They now turn on and off with the headlights, which is ok I guess, and they do dim with the dimmer switch, but it isn't much at all,

So all in all, i'm not sure I accomplished what I was looking for, but I do now have gauge lights that switch on with the headlights:roflmao:

Buy a pack of 1/2 watt, 330 ohm resistors at and tie it into the light wire tapped into the dimmer switch. About a $1.00 at Radio Shack and works great.
