Finally getting my triple kit and rebuilding the motor

After blowing the race motor(hole in a piston) and selling the twins at the end of 2015, i've decided to rebuild and do triples.
Triples will have 2-s369's and 1-s468. Going back with 100 overs, dual fuelers, socal 6460 cam and fingers 15.5:1 pistons with .075 reliefs. Actually want to sell the pistons and go forged just to be safe. I do drive the truck alot and tow with it so i'm concerned about the rings. Have a few pics of the triple kit being fabbed up but cant seem to upload them.

Thx! Machine shop will be done friday so i can go pick up my parts and build the motor. Pretty cool they made their own TQ Plate. And again if i could load pics id post them up.

On a side note my 8 and 10 year old sons helped me dissassemble the motor and will help me build it. I guess my 14 year old had better things to do... and yes it was awesome having them help!

Anyone had any luck with the Diamond pistons yet (forged/steel insert)last I heard there was a few going into new builds but no long term or serious abuse yet? May check those out if you ditch your fingers ones, I was thinking about them until I saw the price :eek:. I shouldn't have even worried about it since everything else is so spendy I just wanted something to be able drive/tow with and not a dedicated race motor. Went Mahle race cast instead but probably was a mistake, is that what you had on the race motor?

Yep, thats what i had. A cracked turned into a hole right at the wrist pin.

I love having my 5 and 7 yr old boys help me when I work on my truck.
