Very glad you guys got some rain; its really hard to see other places get rain and you get none when need it so bad.
I bet the ground had some HUGE cracks.
He's the ground been soaking it up good?

Every day I wake up I miss farming back home in ND but being at the mursey of the weather it's just to stressful. I was never in charge of anything but I don't know how my dad, uncles, and grandpa did it. The fact that we had hogs, gran elevator, metal fabrication shop, and did all of our own construction helped when crops weren't good.

I would really love to move to place where I had some land to do some small farming, maybe me say.:D

Yes it has. I talk with my cousins back home and they haven't gotten much rain at all since the big inning of the year.
They're doing edables beans right now and it finally rained last week.

How is it out west?

Crops have been great, when we can cut. It's been work for 4 days, rain for 2, dry for 2 rinse and repeat all summer, it really pushed back seeding. Opposite of the east I've heard

That's awesome man! Sounds like you guys have a great operation going! Agriculture next to trucking is my passion! I work for Farm Credit of New Mexico and really enjoy what I do! It's awesome to see and work in an area that keeps America alive!

Thanks man, ya its been pretty tough to keep up as feed prices are through the roof! but hopefully with the rain we somewhat slow down. As long as the cold will hold off till November we'll get some grass up.

O ya the ground is really saturated right now. Wash outs, sink holes, ect. Went out to fix some water gaps yesterday on horseback and found some massive sinkholes.

That's what we usually do, grow corn, then plant winter wheat and when spring comes we put yearlings out on the circles. But like you said it's been a really weird year, so we'll see how everything plans out.

Damn Damian, yal are getting hit hard this week!

My parents discovered a leak in their roof yesterday lol. We picked up the Minnesota inlaws tonight from the airport and when we were loading the bags they said "we thought its never humid here" to which I replied "me too" lol.

Stay out of the arroyos Mijo

That looks like a HORRIBLE time! :roflmao:

In my life I've been fortunate enough to take some sweet trips around the world. None of them can even touch a week out on the lake on the houseboat! I just wish I had my Baby to tow the boat with this year. Tahoe will have to get the job done.
