Finally Alive!

Headin to the track tomarrow, hopin for a good day, still dont beleive the rings are 100% seated but i guess well c, i beat on the engine for the first time to night, this is the first time with a max effort tune, all il say is blowin the tires loose rollin in 5th gear @ 55mph is frikin sweet!....It would only do it in 4th befor!!

Somewhere right around 4k best guess ( Rods, Rings, Bearing, Lower engine gasket set, commetic head gaskets, head and main studs), i did not have to pay for machine work or assembly.

Yeah they are .041 IIRC, It was all i could get at the time of assembly, they seem like nice peices though.

I know in the day they were no good, Iv put them in tree trucks now, two sets with bolts, mine with studs, the two with bolts were pretty stock trucks, mines has seen 50 psi so far and no troubles out of any of them? Im not saying they are right, wrong, better or worse, time will tell.

Time has told, gasket failure, not bad, just leaking a bit of compression into cooling system when ran hard. Been doing it for a while now, just finaly got to tearing it down, found #7 leaking into water passage between the last two head bolt holes, only on the top side of the gasket between the gasket and head, heads checked true, block seems true as well (best it can be chaecked still in truck), studs were all still tight. Using gm C gaskets now, hopin for beter luck.
