Well i finally got my truck back up and running, hope to hit the track befor the end of the season and get a 11.xx slip!

THe build didint consist of much, but it wasent a all out power build, just a reliable power build! What was done, Crower rods, ARP studs all around, Stock uncut lly pistons, Fully ballanced rotating assembely
( including clutch), all new bearings and rings, new tripple disk clutch, New syncros in the trans, along with a new input shaft and 4th gear, and a mid west short shifter. I pulled the twins back off my wifes truck and put them back on mine ( at her request), still runing ats(cough) dual cp3s, stock injectors, lowered it another inch or two and installed a roll pan. Cant wait to turn er up and run it, still running a small tune trying to get the rings seated, which seems to be taking for ever!

nice job Caleb...its a good feeling to hear it fire up for the first time after putting a new motor in. :)

Did you do the build yourself? How come no cut pistons?

I know we're all gunning for you to hit 11's, even if it means never hearing the end of it from 01duramax6spd "NEENER NEENER you stupid wussy allison fools say the ZF is slow!!!" :p:

Yeah, i did the build myself, with a good freind did all the machine work and balancing. I didnt cut the pistons because the ones that came out of my engine were in a ok #1 shape, i feel heat is the big piston killer and i have no heat issues with the small twins!

I have not totally disasembled the old engine but checking one cyl the piston was -.010 from deck higth. engine had 48k on it!

Thanx!

Somewhere right around 4k best guess ( Rods, Rings, Bearing, Lower engine gasket set, commetic head gaskets, head and main studs), i did not have to pay for machine work or assembly.
