Hopefully it will turn into a yearly event or a Bi Annual event . Plus it pays out . I haven’t been able to attend a nice diesel event in several years . I’m really STOKED about going . My Brother lives like an hour from the track plus my truck will be in a secure area there instead of sitting in a hotel parking lot where it would be susceptible to theft . So I plan on coming and going to the track from my brother’s . Hope to meet other forum members there . I need to call for current info cause they’re advertisements are a bit contradictory.

If I were closer I’d go. A lot of guys lost interest in these events because they get packed out by squatted smoking 12 valves and 6.0 trucks and the event doesn’t turn out well. I wish it was different but sadly it’s the way this market has been going. Can’t help but feel if some of these insane performance part prices would drop, it’s be a different story. It’s cheaper for guys to tune a stock truck and do a goofy lift than make it actually go fast anymore.

I stumbled on it , I googled diesel events in Texas and there it was . It’s a 2 day event , spoke to Eric I believe it was today at Abilene Performance Diesel , they are the organizers . He said they are planning on making it an annual event . There is nice payouts for the racing and the dyno . There are some big name sponsors as well . Sounds like a bad ass good time .

I think them letting gas trucks with computers run is going to hurt the turn out in the index classes. I know 6 of us that run with odss was going to come tell we learned that. We need big head counts at events but it makes it harder for guys traveling to justify it.

Well if you check out the site on texasdieselmadness.com it says they are trying to revive interest in diesel racing with this very event . I’m sure that’s why they have some big name sponsors that will have vendors at the event . It’s perfect timing for e since I should be done with my latest upgrades/changes by the end of this weekend . I plan on giving Brand X a run for their money . :D :D

There have been several events up this way like that lately.

It’s normally heads up though. Not index racing.

I may go to watch a guy dyno his Dodge. San Antonio is so dang hot this time of year though, so who knows.

Hopefully it isn't terrible. If weathers decent I'm going to test Friday night. Just curious on if the tracks prep is decent.
