Finally after 94k+mi, 500+ 1/4mi. Passes and aprox 30 hooks, she cracked a piston. Time to throw the built motor in.

The motor has been sitting on the stand ready. Guess I have a reason to put it in now.

She held up for longer than most. Any other upgrades planned since the built motor is going in?

It popped the oil fill cap off. We turned her up with a new tune. It would have been a new best no doubt. I started to lift about the 1/8mi., and she still went 12.1 at just over 100mph. The new bottom end is Carrillos, mahle forged, so cal cam, 14mm studs. Might upgrade the wheel to an 80mm now that I'll be able to actually use the dual fueler.

I put a 1/2" bolt through a set of stockers. The pipe is a good 2' away from the engine, so I don't think it's really moving much.

Wow. She was sure moving down the track good for a bit. Crazy ig lasted thru all that abuse. Goin to be cool to see your numbers at the track and the new distances pullin coming here soon with the new motor comin.

That engine owes me nothing lol, I've been ready and waiting for years. I'm actually excited to finally be able to tear her down and see how it all looks. I won't be able to get to it until next week though, I've got three big jobs to get out first.

This built motor supposed to be going in the race truck or is that a seperate engine build altogether?

It was orig for the Race truck, but I didn't fill the water jackets or do billet mains. I've already got another short block getting prepped for the race truck, just waiting on the monotherms to come out.
