Well I'm going to the track Saturday again on my stock trans. I'm wanting to try and get down into a 13.0-13.1 if possible. Right now at full weight with system under seat I'm at [email protected] with a 1.81 60ft. That's leaving the line at 10psi with 50psi in tires haha...

Right now I'm thinking launching a little harder(15-20 psi) and airing the tires down to 20psi rears and 25psi fronts. I also was thinking take the receiver hitch off, system out, and possibly the back seat. But will that really make that much difference? I don't know what my weight is now, but I'm going to try and weigh the truck tomorrow.

That's about as fast as I got my ccsb with pretty much the same exact mods but had 17's and 265/70 on stock trans. Did a built trans, S&B intake, and added 20's and 285/50's and switched tuners and went 12.63. I am rolling to the track tomorrow with my PYO's to see if there is a difference.

I had a buddy ride with me that weighs 160 lbs that rode with me and my time was 12.66 compared to 12.63 without him. Shedding weight will help but not as much drastic as one might think. Also play with launch psi. I get better 60' times leaving at 9-10 psi than I do at 12 psi.

On my best run I did 30 front 25 rear if IIRC and I removed my backseat, spare and tailgate which is good for at least 200 lbs. I launched around 13 lbs. I want to say but can't remember for sure. Get to the track early and get as much cool down as possible in this dang heat. Good luck man.

Hmm, I was just seeing if actually shedding a few pounds was going to be worth it. Still haven't decided if I'm going to or not. Lol I'm def going to be playing with my launches. Going to try and get my 60's down a little bit... Though about flashing my other big tunes in there after I play with my launches and see if maybe I can get them down. It would be awesome to run a last pass of 12.99 on a stock tranny lol

If pulling those few things and pulling the tailgate would only knock off a .2 or .3 is it really worth it?? Lol

Depends how bad you want a 12.xx time slip.
I'd say to get a set of 12 sec dice you bet your ass it is worth it!

Lol that's what I was thinking. My buddy is giving me a hard time about pulling all that. But I will be happy with that slip for sure!

air down the tires and start leaving the line a little harder till you find the sweet spot. Removing weight is by far the cheapest way to make your truck quicker. If you can get that 60' down to 1.70 and lose some weight, you will be real close to your goal. every tenth of a second off your 60' will yield about 2 tenths off your ET. for every 200 lbs you lose your ET cuts down about 1 tenth iirc

I would run your hottest tune and then at the top of 4th gear click it down to a lower tune. That way the shift into 5th won't be as hard on the tranny. Derek06 ran in the 12s on a stock tranny and it held up great but his truck is a single cab. The lighter the truck is the longer the trannies seem to hold up

Well only took my back seat out and just flashed my hot tune in. Ended up with a 1.79 60ft and a [email protected] ... ran that twice. Second time I spun out of the hole... 15psi was a little too much for a launch lol

1/8th mile was a 8.4@ 81.4... both runs were pretty damn close. Had more mph on my other time but I think the spinning off the line killed me for sure

Yeah I'm sure spinning hurt your time for sure.I ran an 8.3@82 but you had the same 1/4 time and a better 60 ft. If you didn't spin you would have been awful close to that 12.99.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. When it spun I was like shit! It spun earlier that day at 15 pounds, but once all the drag cars went figured the track got better, so i tried it again but still no luck. seems like 10-12 psi is about max. I'm happy though... I'll try and post my video up. I also have a pretty sweet picture my girl friend took of it launching
