Hey guys, I've been having a few issues with my truck. It is scheduled to go into the shop on Monday, but hoping i could get some insight before then or at least an idea of what to expect.
For reference the truck's relevant modifications are raptor 150, nictane adapter that i have run CAT and Donaldson filters on(changed every 4k), Exergy Sportsman pump with LBZ Regulator, Exergy 30 overs, PPE stage 4 trans kit, Gorend billet stator convertor. None of those items have more than 30,000 miles on them.
A few weeks ago i was moving into my new house so i had the truck hooked to a trailer for a week and turned down to my light tow tune. The only issue i noticed was an occasional surging when pulling down the interstate with the cruise set but didn't think much of it. After i unhooked the trailer and turned the tune back up i started having weird shifting issues. I thought this was due to being on the lower tune for a week and that it would all work out as i drove the truck and it relearned. The issue is a weird "double shift" feel at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. It doesn't do it if you drive easy or at WOT. I have had a similar issue before and i changed the fuel filter and it went away. Since i was close to an oil change i went ahead and changed the filter. The problem went away for 2 days then started to slowly come back. It is now as bad as it has ever been. It also started surging with the cruise set at 70 on the interstate unloaded. My demanded rail runs between 17-19K under this condition and my actual rail will bounce from 8K to 26K.
This is driving me nuts. I'm hoping i just got some garbage in my fuel tank that is causing filters to clog, but i'm not sure why it runs fine at WOT then. Any thoughts?
