Went down to Vegas for a friends bachelor weekend. One of the activities was Exotics Racing. I posted a vid of me driving a Ferrari 458 Italia a couple months ago. Had to do it again. Also drove the GT-R again and an Audi R8. The Audi was pretty fun but the Ferrari is where it's at for me. Towards the end of the video, there is a McLaren MP4-12C in front. Notice how it just walks the Ferrari on the straights. Gotta try that one next time.

Video breaks around 6:10. Did 5 laps, then cool down, then 4 laps. Traction control was switched to "track" for the last four.

That cool as hell Jerry, doesn't the McLaren corner as well as the Ferrari or just the driver isn't as skilled as you are? That sounded like the same instructor you had last time, really keeps on top of it. Good job.:woott:

They have their own dedicated 1.4 mile track there now. I didn't really pay attention to where it is in the complex since I'm not familiar with it anyway. It's really soon after you enter though.

The instructor said the McLaren doesn't handle quite as well but is faster. I think I was catching up because I was following the line a little better, but I wouldn't call it skill LOL.

What's it cost to do that?

It's not inexpensive, but I don't think it is overpriced. They have a mint of money in all those cars, instructors, insurance, and who knows how much they have to pay LVMS for a lease or whatever.

Wow, awesome deal! That transmission is like butta, sooo sexy! Once again Jerry great video, you got another great instructor. Those prices weren't as high as i thought they would be to flog those kind of vehicles. Thanks for the share :thumb:

I think I just found something to post about in the "hate thread". Just kidding, Jerry, but I am really jealous of you. That has got to be about as much fun as a person can have with clothes on. What kind of speeds were you able to reach on the straights?

The tranmission does shift like a video game, it is that awesome.

Not exactly sure on speeds. I tried to look at the Ferrari speedo going down the straight and I can just tell you it was one hundred something. Not that fast really, it was over 100 and less than 200 :D Probably 110 or so(?). It was like trying to look at gauges in the race truck :dontknow:I looked at the Z06 ride car speed and we were hitting about 120.

I hate this guy who does that everyday. Ride along I did in the Z06 ride car: Amazing car control. To get an idea of how he whips it around, watch my skinny ass get thrown around the seat (driver has a racing seat). Full on drift inches past the cones.

.

Yeah, thats it. Saw the surface you were running on, didnt look like the crappy parking surface the rookies were using in the speedway lot :D. Looks like a ton of fun, something id love to do someday.

Definitely doing this in a 458 June 29!

Just a bit of advice:

Buy more than 5 laps, however that may be (1 car, 2, etc). Five laps is just enough time to kinda learn the track and get your feet under you. Maybe to 5 in a slower (cheaper) car, then 5 in the Italia. My preference would be 300 laps in the Italia :woott:

You'll have fun no matter what though.
