I have a 2006 Silverado 2500HD LBZ and it seems that the fender flares on the rear of the truck are rubbing the paint away in some spots and causing a little bit of rust. Does anyone know if GM makes a "gasket" kit or anything for their fender flares that may fit on the inside or inside/out to prevent this type of thing from happening? Anyone else experience this issue?? Any help or tips on how to fix this would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks

I had to take mine off, remove all adhesive, touch up the spots and reinstall... Problem is that GM doesnt do the "gasket" piece around the edge of their fender flares...

I know lots of guys that use "great stuff" and have used a old tire tube to use a gasket
Then just trim after install

Biggest problem we have up here is dirt roads. I bet I removed 20 lbs of dirt after removing the fenders on Abby.

That is where the great stuff comes in

Might have to try that. I haven`t take`n the flares off yet that sould be interesting.

Were do you guys buy the plastic push pin things from? Or do the old ones still work after you take the flare off?
