After starting this install. I think Fass needs to find someone to rewrite the installation manual. I got the new fuel lines installed and run over the frame like the instructions said. A little more description would be nice and giving some direction as to where to secure the fuel lines or do you just run them loose:confused: The line from the tank is just hanging up there now because the new line from the pump is in the bracket otherwise the fitting wouldn't go together.
I especially like how there's supposed be a section in step 3 that covers routing the wire harness but they skipped it completely. It would be nice to see a YouTube video that covers the installation better.

Fortunately I'll be calling Brent @ Lincoln Diesel Specialities for some direction tomorrow . :thumb:

This is my first Lift pump install on a Duramax.

It took me about thirty minutes to figure out why they gave me a 1/2 fuel clip line thing to fit a 3/8 line until I realized I was hooking it up to the wrong output off the tank. As far as mounting goes I mounted mine on the passenger side frame rail and I wish now I would have mounted it where my spare tire was. Just zip tie the fuel lines wherever you run them and if you're worried about Chaffee just wrap some fiberglass around it or a old garden hose :thumb:

No offense but I thought their directions were failry straight forward. Just use a little common sense and things go smoothly.

Did you run your fuel lines up over the frame or over the top of the fuel tank? Did you add any to support the lines or keep them from rubbing on the cab mounts?

Pump sits between drivers side bedside and frame on the bed mount bolt. The engine side fuel line goes over the frame under the cab where the frame drops down. I zip tied my lines to the harness that runs down the frame. The instructions seemed pretty straight forward to me. Also moved mine up as high as I could and all you can see is the very bottom of the filters, which I can live with.

Maybe your missing a page?!?!

Only thing I don't care for on mine is the return going back in the fill neck. When filling I get like diesel mist/fumes coming out where I didn't have that before. I could fix that but I am lazy.

The pictures were taken before I restored my frame. The feed to the pump now comes from under the tank since I installed a sump.
