I have a 2015 duramax and want to do a def delete. I purchased efi live..pipes and a fass 150. I was told I need a fass stk-5500BO since it's a 2015 is this true? Any opinions.?

I don't know on the Fass if you would need a sump, but I know if you went with an Air Dog you wouldn't need a sump. Air Dog all the way
The oem draw straw is smaller on the 15's making the pump loud. Fass has a new draw straw setup for the 15s and 16s but it's a pain to install. I just put one in mine. If I were you, I'd buy a Fass with the filler neck return and put a Beans sump on it. I went through a whole lot of trouble and would have been much better if I would have went this route.

I just put a new Fass150 on my LB7 and man it's super quiet. You can't hear it at all in the cab and barely outside of the truck. Also came with updated 1/4" steel brackets with rubber isolator so that helps keep it quiet as well. Brackets are easy to mount and way better than before. I also bought a sump off eBay for $65 shipped and it's as good as any $150 sump I've bought in the past.
