I bought a fass 95 (without filter) from a member on here used. He said it worked fine. I have a gauge for my previous PPE lift pump. I plumbed in the fass. at first the pump wouldnt come on and blew a fuse. I put a new fuse in and then bumbed power to it acouple time and it broke loose and started running (like it was stuck). It runs now but there is zero pressure on my gauge?? The truck starts and runs just fine but Im not showing any pressure?? Someone told me it wont but when it need to deliver more fuel the pressure will come up Never heard of that before?

also I dont have my PPE as I sent it off to someone else thinking I was upgrading to a better pump :(

it pumps fuel. I was able to watch it and then I put my finger over the end and was able to hold it back. That wouldnt seem like 14psi too me? It did seem to "feel" like it changed and pressure went up as I let a little by my finger. Does it really maintain low pressure until it feels it need to push more fuel???

Not 100% sure I could see that if it had a return line can you turn the pressure up on the one you got.Can you plug it and see if it build pressure on the gauge.

No return line on this one. No adjustable psi either. I think yo uhave to swap a spring for more pressure...

I have the gauge hooked up same spot as where my PPE was, it worked fine. But it reads zero with the fass hooked up and running?

Doesn't seem right to me.looks like it would build pressure if you just turned the key on.I know the Fass 150 builds pressure even when its returning fuel.Have you went out and ran it any to see if it does anything? I dont see how you were gaining going from a 160 pump to a 95. could see if you got a 150 with filters being a upgrade.

Yea, all the hype with the FASS I thought I would have a quieter pump and all. I figured the 95gph was good enough for 500+ hp...

I am going to go run it now and see how it does.

Hopefully if the pump is bad the guy will give my money back so I can order a new PPE now that I got rid of mine so I could pick up this FASS..

We'll see.

Could the previous owner have turned the pressure down for some reason? Have you gotten ahold of said person and asked?

Its no adjustable. You have to switch springs inside for more (or less) psi.

Took it out for a drive. Traffic was too bad here to get on it and hold into it with a big tune. I will try later tonight or tomorrow. At least it runs and drives and I dont have to by pass it right now lol.

It does sound funny whrn running. Kinda a wierd pump noise and not the same tone, it sounds like it bogs sometimes with it just running with truck off. When truck runs it seems to sound ok, but noting like the constant sound of the PPE, even know it is just about as loud..

Mike, I would try taking it apart maybe and cleaning it up-you might find a piece-o-shit in the valve for the relief or something holding it open.

Are you sure the gaug is working?

I would install a cheap gauge right in the end of the pump and see what it does
I have tha same pump and it shoots to 8-9 psi at idle

Mike you ever get this working?

Im selling mine for cheap,If you need one

Its working, But I am not sure if it will make rail pressure. We will see this weekend. The guy I bought it from bought it from someone and he never ran it so he is going to see what the deal is. I still havent heard from him yet. If the pump is bad, I'll order a new PPE. I should have stuck with the PPE to begin with lol.

You still have your gauge hooked up in the fuel filter bleeder hole? Try pumping it a few times to see if the pressure goes up. Is the pump hooked up with a simple power and ground wire? If it doesn't have something that gets a signal from boost or throttle position, there's really no way the pump can increase pressure without knowing what's going on.

Mike, that pump should read 10-11 psi at the pressure gauge. As soon as mine turns on, it has 11 psi on at the filter head, as shown here. There is an issue with that pump.

Mine showing pressure with the motor off, key in the run position

Figured that. I'm going to risk running it at the pulls this weekend. If it doesnt work right i will be  and :buttkick:

the guy I bought it from till hasnt got back to me on what to do about it.

also text me a price for a new PPE one, as I will need one if this one doesnt work this weekend. Maybe I better go out and try a few hard launches first before the pull, then maybe I Wes will give me his and let me buy him a new one lol.
