You and me, we would spend almost as much as in the diesel world...I know my LS build and entire truck was getting up there in cost...but Bri, that dude seems to get out on the cheap...I don't know how, Bri's ways are a little to "red light district" for me

If I would have known at the beginning of my diesel days what I know now about gassers LS mainly I would have stayed in the gasser world. But I do enjoy the torque of a diesel motor so I'm in too deep.

what you all miss is that the gassers are fun for drag racing but you aint going to get one making 6-800hp, can tow 20k+ while getting double digit fuel mpg at the rated 5-600hp and can still drag race

Not to mention a true 800hp gasser CCSB truck will be a 20-30k build. That's built right. You might get it done cheaper with a one hit wonder. And it won't be much of a DD either.

I had a full bolt on SS silvy. Heads, cam, stall, etc. It would run 7.90s-8.20s depending on conditions. 4500 stall and all it was a super fun truck for sure, but it was only a toy at that point, and I had well over 12 grand in mods.

well in all reality, 20k is what i have total in my build to hold 800hp. between trans (4500), motor (5k), injectors (2500), twins (3k), dual fueler (1100), lift pump (500), PPE pick up tube (150), fuel cooler (250), oil cooler (---), intercooler (750), intercooler boots (100), axle wrap bars (400), and maybe some other little details i missed. BUT like you say, the gasser wont be hauling loads like this can nor get the fuel economy with it and be as mild mannered.
