would it being a rail issue as stated effect my egt? and would it contribute to over heating cause it would be essentially running lean?

I don't have a V2, i did just get a scanner that tells me my rail pressure, but it doesn't tell me whats call for just current. I don't know how to make that helpful because what it is doing is acting like i let off the throttle so obviously it drops when i do that but it doesn't tell me what its calling for... Or am i missing something?

What type of intake are you using
I have a lmm with similar issues with the edge evolution and i already have an air Dogg fuel pump
I do not have anything done to the egr yet but my best guess is the fuel pressure valve

Mine chokes like it is starving for air or fuel and it's always after it shifts usually between 4 and 5

it breaths through a 5" with a lightly oiled K&N. Replaced the MAFS cause i didn't know how to test it and have been told it was a good idea. Pressure acts like it should normally when i step on it, just when it falls on its face it obviously drops. And the hardest part is that its not consistent so every time i get someone in it to try to help me diagnose it drives like a dream.... Mine isn't really a choking, no odd noises or anything, literally just acts like i left off the throttle when i didnt....

Does it fall off while your on the throttle or after you let off? Reason I'm asking is after I let off of wot the pressure spike would stick open my fprv..I'd have to slow down to a crawl before it closed again..

From what i was told it only messes with it cause most people don't know what they are doing and over oil and that messes with it, so i cleaned it all out and lightly re oiled and ran it for about a week before changing the MAF, figured that was sufficient to eliminate that being the problem.

It is your transmission it is defueling because the C3 clutches are slipping going into 5th.
When new the Allison will request 5% defuel between shifts it can wear to the point where it will request up 38% before throwing a code and limping.

I'm currently on ATP site and about to order robs tunes, but i'm hesitant cause i just paid someone 500 to already do it and now he is almost impossible to get a hold of, i don't know if the problem is even tune related since i didn't own it more than a week before having it done..... I do know on the stock tune my egt don't rise (have been paying closer attention and switching around) and on all the other tunes the turbo pressure still never goes above 24 psi (i'm assuming this being a strong factor in the EGT) I don't know what to do right now, any suggestions on that end of my myriad
of problems?

Its not only up near 5th though, it has done it right off the line a few times as well....

If your intake is a 5" your tune might not be set up for it, especially since it sounds like the guy that tuned it originally is an idiot.
