This isint related to my duramax but you guys are pretty smart maybe you can help me with this !

My 2009 f150 just reached 94k the coolant was original and so broken down that its more like water so I'm flushing it . all the videos I've seen say you can do all of this without removing a block hose I'm unsure of this and I want to get all of this old coolant out , when I went to remove the hose I discovered it is a ring style . I removed the ring but the coupling won't come off of the radiator ive never seen this style of rad coupling so i don't know if it removes from the rad itself or the other end where the hose goes on!!??

Don't know if/why a Furd gas burner would be any different from other vehicles, but here's what I did on my Dmax. Bought 12 gallons of distilled water, about 60 cents/gal. Pulled the drain plug and drained old coolant into a bucket, replaced with distilled water, purged air and drove until engine got warm enough to open thermostats, drained again and repeated 3 more times until drain water was clear, then added concentrated DEX coolant equal to half the cooling system capacity. Had to top it off a couple more times while driving....

are you saying there is no drain plug? a quick google search seems to indicate that there should be one on the lower passenger side of the radiator

There is a drain plug ! My concern was getting all of the distilled water out of the block after . I wanted to use 50/50 mix. Your saying that concentrate and the left over distilled water in the block is the best way to go?

Add 1/2 capacity of concentrate and top off with distilled?
