I subscribed in April 11
Took 4 months to get off their mailing lists for all their advertisers thought I specifically said NO during the Q&A, today I get home, and there is a collection notice for deliquent payments, and a bill for renewal.

They blamed it on the computer incorrectly adding me, I replied that I have been in the IT industry for 20 years, a program does NOT add someone with a zero balance to collections it was user error.

Anyway I asked for a Manager/Super and got more of the same BS.
He offered to give me a few free issues, I asked them to cancel my subscription and refund me my balance.

So with their fresh lie in place, has anyone else gotten collection notices from Diesel Power when they owed nothing and had months left on their subscription?

Because if he is telling the truth (its the computers fault

) then all subscribers should have gotten them, right?

.

I tried calling the collection company but hung up when they said I would be charged for their "help" (North Shore Agency, NY)

Screw them, never again will I buy their magazine and I am spreading the word on all diesel forums, this is bullsh1t<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I take a LOT of pride in paying my bills (on time), and if I get a collection notice I get quite angry, especially when its not legitimate and very aggressive and rude in its wording; and when I call them to get it straightened out they want to charge me for talking to me about their mistake? :roflmao:

No, I am done with them. Its all one big advertisement anyways

I am an easy going guy, but was thinking what if my wife got it, freaked out and paid it? I wonder how many other people this has happened to and the spouse paid it without asking ;)

If the had been honest and said it was user error, ok fine.
But I dont sppreciate being lied to.
