part of me loved the vid just for the fact that someone stood up to these guys. However, the reality of it is that the group committed at most a misdemeanor in harassing the guy as he drove by, but the guy with the bat could be headed to jail for felony assault. It's not a sure thing but it is debatable. He was away clean and choose to come back and confront the group...with a weapon.
Bat to the head is deadly force. I carry, so the use of deadly force is something I have contemplated. If you do everything you can to avoid a situation or somehow have no other option, and your life is threatened then I say GAME ON and I play for keeps. Don't get me wrong... Once the rules of engagement have been satisfied........the deader the better.
But not only is 8 on 1 really crappy odds even when WELL armed but being pissed off isn't an affirmative defense for going A-ROD on someones skull.

They get what they deserved and they got off light. Down here in Texas were we can carry in the truck and do it legally. But the guy is lucky he wasn't any slower or he would be going to the hospital or morgue.

In this situation, three armed felons crossed the US border, and tried to rob an off duty El Paso , Texas Police Officer dressed in civilian clothes while he stood in front of a bank.. Talk about your Illegal Alliens... These guys paid the price in full.
The plan was for two of them to grab his backpack and toss it to an accomplice on a stolen motorcycle. However, the well prepared Police Officer shot all of them, managing to kill 2 immediately. The 3rd one was shot in both arms and bled to death before help arrived.
Gun used: a Beretta, in 40 cal. S&W
Do you realize how much the US taxpayer saved by not having to prosecute these worthless thugs?
This guy won't be around much longer.
