Extremely loud motor

Good day. I hope somebody can help me out here. Here's some info on the truck.
03 with 440 km on the clock with over 10000 hours. BD drivers side manifold. Profab intake horn and downpipe. Fass titanium 150. 4 inch exhaust.

Now the problem. I luckily got 200000 km out of the second set of injectors so changed them out with dipaco injectors factory nozzles. Now it's always been a noisy motor and had got louder and louder and smoked every once and a while so I somed it up to injectors.

Well that didn't fix my problem and is only getting louder. It sounds like some something is gonna come out the side of the block. Doesn't burn a drop of oil or use any coolant. No codes. Compression test all came in at 405 395.
When I did the injectors and my valves were quite loose and did the merchant auto Valve guide figured that was the clatter slash knocking I was hearing.

Here are my balance rates after the new injectors. Now 8 was stupid high wasn't happy so they covered that one under warranty and I double checked the valves and they were all good. Check the balance rates again and nothing changed.
I have a miss from just touching the pedal all the way up to 2000 rpm which was kinda always there. And idles a little rough. Could a old cp3 pump be my problem. It's never been changed. Or have I been driving around for the last 100000 km with bent rods. Thanks for reading hopefully this all makes senses.

Iv had good luck with dipaco. Is the noise really loud injector rattle? Or a different sound

Forgot to mention the tuner. Just a diablo predator on 65 hp. Took it out and made no difference. I think it's injector knock. It kinda sounds like a 6.5 while driving but duramax tone if you know what I mean.

Dipaco is an aftermarket injector builder. If you have to go back into the truck to replace injectors I would recommend sticking with an OEM Bosch unit for the longest life. Looks like cylinder 3-4 injectors are almost out of spec already.

The rail pressure is within 500 of each other.
Trust me Brent I wanted to go with yours for sure and but with crappy Canadian dollar these were 1000 bucks cheaper though the in-laws shop.

Have you changed the fuel filter lately? Water in fuel? Mine was making a lot of racket and I changed my fuel filter and it quieted down a lot and my fuel mileage went up a little. Also I been adding 2 stroke oil in the fuel when I fill up.

If you mean the desired rail pressure and actual rail pressure are within 500 PSI of each other at idle, that is nearly out of spec. On a healthy engine, they are typically within 1 MPa (150 PSI) of each other at idle. I would be concerned if you are seeing nearly 4 MPa difference at idle. Heck, my built motor with big injectors and a 12mm stroker CP3 stays within 0.5 MPa (70 PSI) of desired at idle. That may not cause any loud noises, but it would cause a lope/surge at idle. I could hear my motor surge with the old regulator and it had about 4 MPa of variance as well.

Honestly, I suspect the noise is from your aftermarket injectors. I notice there is a large variance in injector/engine noise depending on brand/quality of injectors. When I went from stock injectors to Industrial Injection 60% injectors, the motor got quite a bit louder. And louder still going to 100% overs. My latest injectors (SAC-style 75%) are much closer to stock noise, but still louder than a stock motor. If your "new" injectors are on old bodies, they might not be any quieter than the old worn out set. Hopefully they last for you.

If I were you, I would pick up a mechanic's stethoscope and try and track down the source of the noise that way. If it is coming from the injectors, not much you can do besides live with it until this set of injectors goes out.

Would the injectors cause a miss. Like bad as soon as I touch the pedal. I will see if I can post up a video as soon as my buddy gets here.

Did you do injectors or just nozzles? Dipaco is WAP, AKA wellman automotive products, flight systems, diesel rx glow plugs, and several others I'm sure. I'm only aware of them selling nozzles, not complete injectors. If all you did was nozzles, then you most likely didn't do anything to help injector problems as the ball seat is what gives most of your problems. And ONLY BOSCH makes and sells those parts(they hold the patent, so only they can legally make them), and they only sell them to BOSCH certified facilities.

And we need to know the fuel rate at idle to know the actual balance rates.

I don't believe this is true. Every LB7 I've seen gets louder with raised rail pressure, even with brand new injectors.

They do all get louder. I was referring to the knock, in my experience the bad ones will be far louder than the rest if you put a stethoscope on the high pressure fuel line.

They said they were full remans and all looked new. Fuel filter was changed when injectors are done. My fass system keeps a consistent 10 psi to the cp3 pump. But runs shitty with it unplugged.

What kind of rail pressure are you seeing?

With the amount of miles, the difference between actual and desired, and the fact that it runs poorly with no lift pump, I would change the cp3. It's also alot cheaper than a set of injectors.

Although it looks like you got some crappy remans. Have you tried turning them off one by one to see if the sound goes away?

10 psi. And no one the one by one. Today the balance rates on 3 is over 6. So I'm thinking it's bad injectors. With a mix of cp3 pump

It won't run with 10 PSI, so perhaps he meant 10k PSI (70 MPa)? That is a bit high unless the truck is cold. It should idle at 5,800 PSI (40 MPa) when warm.
