Extra part from valve body

I am trying to put a valve body in a 2000 series allison transmission. I found this on the floor in my workspace and I am sure it came out of that transmission somewhere. Where does it go?

It goes under the metal plate that retains the two big trim solenoids. There's 2 of those right next to each other and they have springs to go with them.

I can’t argue with that logic. Less bolts= lighter trucks= better fuel economy
