I own a 2012 Lml duramax and have a turbo back exhaust with the dpf delete. Im wantin to put stacks on it here soon but I was wondering if there was anyway to get rid of that jet sound while idling before I do that.

Stacks on a LML could be a dead give away if someone ever wanted to be a dick and get you in trouble for deleting emissions crap. other wise I hear that a aftermarket down pipe will cure that. I to hate the screech.

You can change the vane position at idle with EFI live. That will stop the vacuum sound you are referring to.

Please don't put stacks on a Duramax. The only stack that belongs on a Duramax is a single offset mitre cut and you better be making a ton of power to be flaunting that. Leave the wanna be big rig gay dual stacks to the Cummins boys.

what this guy said, stacks sound like a cool idea now but you will thank us later for not going through with this, soot all over your truck... sound annoying after a while. didn't take me long to ditch mine

My truck barely smokes though. Soon as the turbo winds up its clean. And I'm pretty sure my down pipe changed with the afe exhaust I got on it now. I just know its loud as hell idling. And where I'm at there's no one here gonna give ya any crap about deleting the dpf. It's all good.
