So I've been looking around and ended up buying a 5 inch mbrp front pipe back exhaust when I got it it was supposed to be turbo back but that's a whole other story. Anyways I was looking at it and it still only has the 3 inch fitting for the downpipe. I was thinking I mean I'm not sure if it will work as well but my truck has 3.5 inch piping on it stock for the exhaust if I deleted my muffler on my stock exhaust wouldnt it in theory still be practically the same amount of power since my downpipe either way is only 3 inch? Then return the exhaust or should I just put the 5 inch on I'm still a little new to turbo diesels so I just thought I'd ask on the forum

It will still help a bit the exhaust can make lazyer bends as it runs to the tail pipe.Not worth the extra cash for 5 inch imo but it will help a touch,oh and it will have a nice exhaust tone also
Alright well thanks for the input I'm gonna just see how much it is for a piece of 3.5 and weld it in and see how it does if I don't really like it I'll just throw the 5 on most likely
