That,s what I'm talking about big boy, you did your own prep work, I probably could have cut some in the 1.5s if the track had been sticky with VHT, I guess I know next time. Never thought to run on a lower tune off the line then turn it up once out of the hole. Live and Learn I guess. I'm gonna take it to Kennedale on a Pro Mod race night so I know Im running on a well prepared track to see what she'll really 60' at .

I am also guilty of losing a headlight pin at the track a while back. I only raced Saturday but never had traction issues. Best 60' was 1.79 on 285 nitto dune grapplers. But, I was having trouble pushing through the brakes so most of my launches were very soft. Prostreeter600, how often do you go to Kennedale? I would like to go out there sometime. I hear there is a lot of grudge racing. Sorry to derail

LMAO

Oh hey, it's me the bracket racer /slash/ photographer again.

TXR just switched from a lanechoice/PJ1 mix to straight cut PJ1. They are still learning it. First pro mod race never got done, had 6 oil downs and 2 crashes, finished qualifying session 2 at 11:15 and ran the "final" (pole vs #2) at 12:05 AM. Track was quite literally and I exaggerate not, a SKATING RINK. Most of the cars didn't even run the second hit.

We ran pro mods Friday while you guys were testing, and we got done right on curfew, Wiley's 4.09 to Gaylen's 4.15 in the final. Pole was a 4.05 and bump was like a 4.70 something.

They are slowly learning how to spray the PJ1, maybe by next PM race it will be better. Honestly, Little River is THE best hooking track, and Denton is 2nd.

on occassion, sometimes on Sunday, but they don't prep on Sunday so it would need to be on a Friday night ,one Friday out of the month is Pro Mod night, and you can bet your A......... they prep the track REAL GOOD for them boys. They run about 179 or so in the 1/8th mile I believe. Pm me with your # and we can hook up to go out there. Its a fun track for sure.

Nice job on the pics magnethead494 . Good to know about Kennedale. Both times I have been to Denton they have rained out. I will be heading North to Denton next time after what you just posted . Good info. And yes Little River was so sticky it bout took my boots off. LOL. I had no problems hooking up there at all. Awesome prep work at Little River, KODOS to them.

Thanks, I shoot for fun when I'm not working on the pipe rack (dad drives). I just emailed Randy about re-upping the photo contract for the world nationals as well.

I may post otherwise when TXR figure out how to spray the good stuff, if they do.

Little River is prepped by Tommy "Dr. Hook" Freeman, he sprays straight PJ1 in a very fine mist,
while most tracks cut it 40/60 or 60/40 to save money, and their sprayers are more like agriculture
ones, not so much of a mine mist, more of a barely controlled drip/run.

Cool. Sounds like you got the low down or should we say the Sticky on where the good hookup is to see the full potential of our launches. Thanks Again

Let's just say bracket racers are expert complainers and critics and critiquers. Plus I run a bracket racing promotions site for north texas, so I deal with most of the local track managements on a routine basis. I used to work for Kennedale as well, and if I wasn't so far from motorplex (I'm in Mansfield), I'd be working there. If it wasn't for school and conflict of interest, I'd have applied to the competition director's position.

Off topic guess you could say , but I believe we are soon to be neighbors , we have a contingent contract on a home we are purchasing there in Mansfield , soon as ours sells here in Hurst, we gone South Bound or is it SE bound Hell either way , to Mansfield.

I was worried my street tires on my truck wouldn't hook... By I ended up cutting a 1.69 60' that night. Only got to run twice though..

Yeah, the first time I ran it cut a 1.84... But I did a soft launch to see if they were even going to hook. Then second run was a 1.69 with a 15psi launch. It hopped/spun a little. But was happy with that 60' and the run.

I guess if we have to deal with no track prep , the thing to do is a soft launch . I know where I'm going to get a headlight pin and its not the chevy dealership either . There should be several laying out there . LOL
