I have a 2005 GMC Duramax with 72000Km on it. I get an intermittent fault when I stomp on the accelerator pedal I cant get above 2000RPM. The tranny still shifts up but I can’t put the boot down; it feels like I am being starved of fuel at 2000RPM. If I drive it normally (no stomping) I can achieve max RPM no problem. The problem is fixed when I switch the ignition off for a few minutes, something must reset. If anyone has an idea what the problem might be I would appreciate any suggestions.

Moved thread here :D

You are having the LLY dreaded 1093 problem. How old is your fuel filter and is your truck stock. If you do a search there are plenty of threads about it.

You might have to do the shim mod.

Change your fuel filter first. Might have got a bad batch of fuel if it just started happening.

If not pressure relief valve might be getting week and if that is the case then the shim mod should fix it.
