Engine Mounting Plate

I know some of you have made adapters to mount the engine sideways in the engine stand. I want to make one for my build coming up. I know guys are using 1/2" plate but can anyone tell me what size that piece should be? Looking to go pick up a piece but I'm not sure what size to get. 6x6 6x8 or?

Yep 45 in my chop was was pretty much perfect

Your best bet is to trace a motor mount, if you have one laying around.

Ok ya I did 45* on mine. Trace out a motor mount on cardboard. Easy that way.
