New engine has altered firing order cam, same rods and pistons, this is 4th pulling season on those items... Internally balancing crank took A LOT of vibration out of the solid mounted, front and rear plates, engine. Mains took a beating every year, internally balancing made bearings look NIGHT AND DAY BETTER, but still failed a crankshaft...

Yellow, I love seeing the progress of that thing and this post while awful to see the destruction, is cool to see how you've progressed it over the years

Thank you, it obviously takes some pretty serious coin at any level of diesel performance, but this makes me think of the diesel pioneer thread... I consider Jerry Crow, Paul Schrader, and myself local duramax pioneers in truck pulling. Jerry and I both had BRAND NEW 05's that we started pulling right away, all of us had the double if not triple stack of doom, lol. Paul had an 02 stacked & bigger injectors in it before he got his new 05, then traded it for a 2007 classic and pulled his brand new Allison out to have Goerend build it, lol. And he swapped the turbo on it same time.

This summer was a disappointment for me personally, we didn't get the truck together until the end of August and EVERYONE I run into, family, friends and people I don't even know... "Hey, how's it going? Have you been pulling this year? Why not? What's your plan now?". You can go to most fairs within 2 hours and usually EVERYONE knows " the BananaMax truck", lol... It makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something useful. And now I'm busier than I've ever been with side work and repairs and my little LLC. I wouldn't trade any of it, I just wish it was a cheaper hobby, lmao! I've met a lot of good people in this sport, even though pulling has one of the worst reputations, besides stockcar racing, lol
