Got this new to me 07 GMC Duramax 3500 HD DRW, 1 ton truck and have had these two codes come up within about 500 miles now. The p2454 came on and stayed on for a couple days and then this morning when I drove, no engine lite. Put scanner on and it said two stored codes were p2454 and p0128. How should I enterpret this happening? Should I take to a shop to have it checked or is these just quirks of a Duramax. Will be taking a 8000 mile trip here in a month. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I had p0128 this morning, coolant below operating temp. Not a real worry but you can replace the t-stat
Write them down, clear the codes and check again in a few days. Then proceed accordingly. No way of knowing if the p0128 was stored from a long time ago or not.
As for the p2454 it is a dpf code so is the truck all stock? Does it have a full stock exhaust?
