I know this isn't really the right forum for these type of subjects, but I'm not subscribed to any other more appropriate ones. Plus I know we have a bunch of varied people here, all with different talents, Interests, locations and backgrounds. so I hope there is enough of us to make something of it.
I wanted to ask, how many of us have some kind of emergency preparations setup for if things get bad. this will of course be different scenarios for different people and locations. for me: I live next to a dam, and like oroville dam just north of us, could always have issues necessitating evacuation. also, Fires like the Paradise fire two hours north. Riots in neighboring cities, etc. seems like every year there is something new and some day it just may be my town.
My long term solution would be my bug out / camping trailer but being as that is a ways off before completion I'll have to rely on what I can pack into my truck or car and head somewhere safe. If I have to abandon that them I have my bag.
I will start by showing you my current emergency bag. it is currently about 20 lbs over the recommended tipping the scale at 48 lbs. it is not 100% complete as I may ditch a few items and I need a map or two, etc.
Anyone else have a "bug out bag" if you will or some other emergency evacuation kit set up? lets see what you got.
