Ok, on my Lly I have it set to enable. For some reason I have yet to notice it kick on. Been around 20° this past week in the a.m, shouldn't it start to elevate around 32°? It's set to on, so what could be the problem?

The ambient temp sensor may not be reading correctly. Is the tempature on your rear view mirror correct?

Check your tune too. If the ECT is set to high it will not come on. I did this to let the engine idle at low idle for a longer time to allow the oil pressure to decrease more so it stopped blowing oil out my AMS oil bypass system.

Is there a way you can see what your inlet air temp and your coolant temp sensors are reading when your truck is dead cold? I haven't messed with EFI so I'm not sure.

its because you're running an 01 TCM.

If you want the auto high idle to work you have to reflash it with an 04+ TCM calibration

Call your tuner. It's stupid to run an 01 TCM in your truck anyway. He will figure it out someday.

Bob, i flashed the 01 file in because the 05 file was, with Rob's tune as well, causing a"double shift" from 3-4 gear. We replaced c3 clutches, found nothing else wrong in the Trans, and it fixed nothing. to a 01 tcm file, fixed everything.

We tried robs tuning, noticed it in the first place. So I went with Tony's tunes, did the same crap. The 01 tcm tune Tim put in my truck made it feel alot better, different feeling all throughout! I like it

You can mimic an 01 TCM in any model year TCM 01-05. There isn't any reason to run the 01 os and loose the elevated idle if you can make an OS work well that don't disable the elevated idle. Maybe contact SS Diesel. He works for free and knows everything about tuning. He'll get you set up!

Thanks Bob didn't realize that I could have my stock tcm tune improvised. I would really like the elevated idle and still have a decent 3-4 shift. Not like it shifted when I bought the truck off the PO. 3-4 shift was bad! I can post pics of my c3 damage just because of that shitty shift.

It wasn't the shift logic that created the problem, the way i understand it. Ben knows more, but i will put money on the fact that you cannot mimic 01 tcm logic with newer OS'
