Well I found a good set of fans on eBay. Lol. I talked to the guy and he seems like a good dealer and I checked out his site.

Well I found some fans but now I need a shroud to go with them. They didn't have any good shrouds. Any ideas? Maybe build my own? Ill try another junk yard but was wanting to try them out Friday.

Taurus fans would be the highest flowing and cheapest option that I am aware of. They work amazingly well on my truck. So well in fact that they bring ect down from 215+ degrees after a run to about 175 in 5 minutes or less, depending on ambient temp.

How does your AC work at idle when its 80+ degrees out? I'm thinking of going to electric fans mainly because my AC is pretty poor at idle and if it gets really hot and I'm not moving the AC head pressure gets too high and shuts the AC off.

No AC on my truck. one thing that is a good idea when switching to E-fans of any kind on the Dmax is a fan or 2 on the external trans cooler. especially for racing purposes.

Made sure both fans work and they do, but which is high speed and low speed on these? It came out of a 93 taurus. The middle prong doesn't have a wire coming out so is that the low speed?
Here is a pic of the fan connector and the plug that goes in. The plug only uses the two outside prongs as you can see.

Anybody? I was looking at some wiring diagrams and its says one is high speed and one is low speed, but I don't see how to ground it anywhere.

Mine work great, keep it too cool sometimes actually. I have 2 taurus 3.8 fans and an FK85 controller. Pics of my mounting and a parts list are in my pics on DP.

What year Taurus do you need to pull them from?
