when i get on it my egt's stay right at 1400, i mean pretty much on the floor, but it is a mild tune, i though she would run a little cooler?

or am i fine, i have heard they can run 1350 all day but don't want to run hot if it's something i can fix/change.

i will run a stiffer tune when i get the $$$$ for a tranny upgrade, but then it will run even hotter right?

she does cool down quick, allot quicker after removing the kitty/DPF, i like that.

if you guys are runnen hotter then i'll quit worrien

How low is your timing?? I rode in a friends lly that has a quad and it ran higher egt's than my street file...all has to do with the timing.

i think that josh is right to decide wether it is right or not the tune size needs to be known. the high egt's could be a problem with the truck boost leak or something else . and could be a tune issue as hondarider552 stated .

pat said it is about a 100hp or so tune. I want to throw in a bigger tune to see to see what numbers (gauges) she would run with some real HP runnen through it

i did seem to loose some boost psi after installing the exhast

Its Pat tune, call Pat. :)

As a point of reference i used to run the quarter and average around 1600*, RWP in the 500-525 range. Never had any issues, the heat we make is cumulitive. It may not get you today, but its gonna get you.

If you made mechaincal changes after the tune was installed you have to adjust the tune, if boost went down with the exhaust and fuel stays constant... you may be overfueled.

I don't think you need 1400* to get 100hp.

Basically, if you run more fuel you'll run more EGT's.

Timing will reduce EGT's, but past a point, your power will drop.

Flash the stock tune in it and tell me what EGT's you see during the same test loop.

It's about a 2400msec fuel shot with 26 deg advance. Yes, it's a bit more than 100rwhp.

Yes, floored+sustained will run hotter than stock.

I have an educated guess as to what kinda HP that will make...Can't guess on the EGTs, I'm too lazy to install the pyro:eek:

I sent out another tune that is perhaps closer to 100HP and will run cooler. Hard to build "low-power" tunes; my fingers don't want to type in numbers less than 3100... :D
