LLY: EGT's and MPG

Tossed the level 4 PPE tune on my truck, and go figure EGT's at 65mph went up compared to level 3.

Now, I plan on running the tune for at least this tank, but was curious if there is a direct comparison between EGT's and MPG? I assume there has to be, but wasn't too sure. Seems to want to hover under 700* compared to low 500* area on the level 3

Soot = loss of MPG lol. Unburnt fuel

Fuel creates heat. Which gives higher egts... Higher egts, more fuel being used..

But also remember on a bigger tune if you keep your foot out of it it could net better MPG

Did a half tank so far and its ~25miles higher than I normally get on the level 3 tune, same cruise speeds etc.
